Lynne Barr : C.O.T. , MBA., MSc Design and Management of Inclusive Environments.
I have decided to pursue the offer of coaching  as a means of supporting individuals and/or organisations to move forward with their lives, goals or  making necessary changes  to adapt to changes that are impacting on their lives and potentially , their well being or success.

This decision is based on reflecting and reaching my own professional crossroads in 2020 and the recent impact on working lives and organisations due to the Covid 19 pandemic.  My decision is based on the following experience.
General Context: Many years of working in / with the NHS and Local Authorities  initially as a Health Professions Council registered practitioner , then as manager and commissioner. These roles have involved designing, leading and implementing partnerships and services across agency boundaries on Teesside and the North East of England. I also had a national role in the Continuous Service Improvement Partnership  (CSIP) team for long term conditions. (2007- 2010)
Coaching :  2005 after designing and implementing an integrated rehabilitation service across health and social care I commissioned and supported a 2 day coaching programme (Corporate  Coach U International) for the front line staff , especially those in influential roles and those undertaking new or supervising those in new roles . The integrated model was a leadership model that required innovative approaches and positive creative responses to traditional challenges. I saw and  we experienced, the benefits of the coaching training and the systems put in place to maintain the skills and confidence of those who took part. It was enjoyable, promoted healthy working relationships and produced a more effective culture and insights across the service.
2006 I became a licensed Coaching Clinic Facilitator for Corporate Coach U. I have delivered the 2 day Coaching Clinic  (programme ) in the NHS, independent ( care sector )  and voluntary sector  since that time.
2011 I designed a ‘self management’ programme for people living with long term conditions ( as an outcome of work done as a commissioner) and set up a Community Interest Company  to deliver it . The ‘My Life Programme ‘ was an  evidence based to support behavioural change and uses a coaching approach as its underpinning theme .
2013 A local health organisation commissioned the design of a staff development programme based on the above ‘My Life Programme.’  This was still underpinned by  the coaching approach and individual coaching input. This programme is called the BRIO Programme, is accredited by the Open College Network in England  and the coaches sign up as associates using the ICF standards as the agreement.
2017-18 working as an independent ‘consultant’ with a rehabilitation organisation – introducing a leadership and outcomes framework that incorporated individual coaching for operational and clinical managers involved in leading the change process.
2019 Enrolled on the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) accredited Coaching & Mentoring Programme . Level 5. Due to complete March 2020.
Leadership and Organisational Development : As a freelance consultant I have used coaching approaches  as part of bespoke leadership development initiatives . I am passionate about  enabling people to draw on their own resources and have the confidence  to use their skills to bring about positive change for themselves and their teams/organisations.
